Planting Instructions

1. Fill a shallow tray with fine, well-draining seed-starting mix.
2. Scatter seeds on the surface and cover with a very thin layer of mix.
3. Mist gently and keep the surface lightly moist, not waterlogged. Maintain warm conditions around 75–85°F (24–29°C).
4. Place in bright, indirect light. Protect tiny seedlings from strong midday sun.
5. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots with well-draining cactus mix.
6. Gradually increase sunlight as plants grow. Allow the mix to begin drying between waterings, provide climbing support, and protect plants from frost.

Good to Know

Dragon fruit grown from seed may take several years to flower and bear fruit. These are climbing cactus plants, not dwarf bonsai trees.
