Start a climbing-flower project with this pack of 50 mixed Passiflora seeds. Enjoy nurturing young passion flower vines and guiding their tendrils onto a sunny garden support.

Features

  • Package: 50 passion flower seeds.
  • Botanical genus: Passiflora.
  • Random mixed colors.
  • Climbing vines for trellis training or roomy containers with support.
  • Seeds only; live plants, flowers, pots, and supports are not included.

Sowing Instructions

  1. Soak seeds in lukewarm water for 24–48 hours, changing the water daily.
  2. Sow approximately ¼ inch deep in clean, well-draining seed-starting mix.
  3. Keep in a warm location around 75–85°F. Maintain even moisture without leaving the mix soggy.
  4. Be patient: germination can be irregular and may take several weeks to several months. Continue caring for unsprouted pots.
  5. Provide bright light after emergence and move seedlings into individual pots when they have several true leaves and established roots.
  6. Gradually acclimate plants outdoors before transplanting after frost danger has passed.

Care & Training

  • Choose a bright, sheltered position with well-draining soil. In very hot climates, provide protection from intense afternoon sun.
  • Install a secure trellis or wire framework early. Guide young stems gently toward the support and use loose, soft ties where needed.
  • Water regularly during active growth, allowing the soil surface to begin drying between waterings. Empty standing water from container saucers.
  • Feed established plants during the growing season according to the fertilizer label; avoid excessive nitrogen.
  • Remove dead or damaged growth and trim to keep vines within their allotted space.
  • Winter hardiness depends on the species. Until identified, keep container plants frost-free during winter and reduce watering as growth slows.
  • Allow time for seedlings to establish before flowering.

Garden Safety

Sold for ornamental growing. Do not eat seeds, foliage, or fruit from unidentified Passiflora plants. Keep planting seeds out of reach of children and pets.
